London (Go4ukloans) March 29, 2007: Research by a leading comparison site, uSwitch, reveals that women in the UK are getting increasingly reliant on unsecured loans to support their spending ways.
The research states that women in the country have unsecured loans that add up to a staggering twenty billion pounds. The outstanding dues on the overdraft facilities are four and a half billion pounds.
According to one uSwitch official, this trend is primarily as a result of easy accessibility to loans, store cards and credit cards, and underlines the customers needs to be in control of their own finances.
The official further added: “By shopping around for the best deals, taking advantage of 0% introductory rates and switching utility providers to get the best available prices on household bills, women can still enjoy the pleasure-rush of a new purchase, without racking up more unsecured debt. It is all gain and no pain.”
