What sparked the recent price rise ? Seems to have shot up from about £2.30 to £2.80 !
Must be another bid story ? |

Its probably due to Centrica increasing the price of gas by 22%
Wholesale gas prices surged yesterday after Centrica, which last week raised prices for British Gas customers by 22pc, said it was not going to re-open the UK's biggest gas storage site for a month.
The news prompted wholesale gas prices to jump 28p to 86p a therm. Forward gas contracts for delivery next winter rose a penny to 73p a therm because of the closure.
Centrica said bad weather had hampered an attempt to get to the Rough facility by helicopter, which meant that it had not been possible to re-establish power with an on-shore generator.

Well now we know why the price has risen so much !
Gazprom are sniffing around as possible bid for the company !!!
I think £3.30 is achievable if they bid ? |

| I think Gazprom has a full plate dealing with the likes of Shell and sakalin ?, Centrica is in talks with Gazprom about a gas contract for 2010. this would put doubts on a takeover |
