The American Express Gold Card gives 0% for 6 months on Balance Transfers AND Spending - Whats more there IS no Balance transfer charge, so effectively you can balance transfer at anytime during the first 6 months as many times as you like ! An excellant stoozing card !
The specific terms are -
0% for 6 months on Spending AND Balance transfers
No charge for balance transfers
Can make as many balance transfers as you like within the 0% period
cashback on spending.
Also cashback of upto 1% on spending.

I applied for the Amex Gold card about 10 days ago and got it through the post today !
The credit limit is a healthy £9k, and reading the terms & conditions closely I can confirm that yes it uis 0% for 6 months on spending and balance transfers and I can transfer at any time without any balance transfer charge.
The only point, as per what I read on moneyforums credit card page, that you do have to spend £500 per year - so after the 0% is up use it for a spending card for at least £500 else you will get a £15 charge.
So nice one for stoozing  |

After applying online last wednessday, I got a call the following day from Amex confirming my details and today I get a letter sayign that I will be gettign a card soon, though nothing about the credit limit they will offer me  |

The vast majority of card companies only actually state the credit limit when they send you the card, i.e. its stated on the piece of paper the cards attached to, when you recieve it through the post.
You should be getting the card within 5 days of recieving the letter from American Express. |

| Been along to the site and the gold cards been replaced by the blue and nector cards with similar specs |

If you have an amex card, then watch out for their annual fee ! Which falls due by then end of December !
You NEED to have spent a minimum of £500 on the card else yuo will be charged £25 !
if yuo want to close the account then do it in December as long as you have spent £500.
if you try and close it in Jan yuo will be charged £25 ! |
