There on the way up (hopefully). Bought these last year and did well with them. Back in again at £1.70. I know they've had a beating but if you consider that they have completed the Safeway conversions now. Who knows?

Morrisons shot up today, I did a searh and found the following -

LONDON (ShareCast) - Troubled supermarket group Wm Morrison was given a breather today after UBS upgraded the shares to 'buy' from 'neutral'.

The Swiss broker raised its price target to 240p from 191p previously noting that the supermarket group has seen an improving sales momentum recently which should accelerate in 2006.

Thats a big upgrade ! Looks like it has plenty more upside Wink

I think it was UBS came out recently with a forcast of £2.40p for Morrisons. They are having a lot of bad press (new CEO, boardroom rows).

Good article in the press ! Smile

Morrisons strides up the global rankings
Retailer now number 31 in world

YORKSHIRE supermarkets group Wm Morrison has soared up the global rankings of retailers following its takeover of Safeway, according to a survey released today by professional services firm Deloitte.

The firm which started as a single egg and butter stall in Bradford is now the 31st largest retailer in the world – up from number 76 a year ago. In the UK, Morrisons is ranked third overall, compared to eighth a year ago. Morrisons' commitment to thrift seems to extend to the boardroom. Figures released to accompany the annual accounts show that chairman Sir Ken Morrison's basic salary rose from £568,000 to £675,000, while chief executive Bob Stott's has gone up from £487,000 to £650,000.

The survey tracks UK retailer positions in the league table over the past five years and shows that Tesco has gone from strength to strength.
