I have an old car that I want to get put back onto the road, it has no MOT. Am I legally allowed to drive it to the test centre in this state?
Of course I can't tax it until its got its MOT. Does this mean I will have to get it transported to the MOT test centre for me to not be breaking the law ?
Any advice appreciated |

The car needs to be insured to be both parked or driven on a public road. You would need to get it transported to the test centre as you do not have road tax.
If you did have road tax and were insured then you could have driven it to the test centre. |

| The chances of being caught are pretty slim. i.e. I roughly get pulled over once every 3 years so , pretty low chances you will be stopped on the way to a garage |
