If you have a disputed transaction with a seller then first take it up with the seller, telling them you are in dispute over the item or service purchased, keep copies of any letters sent, and response.
If the cardholder is unable to reach agreement with the seller, the next step is to contact the credit card company, and usually you will be sent a form to fill in , send it back with a copy of the evidence you have i.e. if an online purchase than copy of the webpage, and email replies.
Usually the credit card company will issue a charge back against the seller and payment would be recredited to your account within a few weeks. Though exact procedures vary from company to company |
