To all intents and purposes I have been conned by this insurance company which had promised to cover my 60% of my salary if I was made redundant.
The facts are -
I joined the scheme in December 04 when I was informed that cover would commence after 3 months i.e. in March 05
In March 05 I get a letter that they have changed the terms and that now cover would commence in June 05 ! i.e. six months instead of 3 months.
In June 05 I get a letter that now states that the policy has been cancelled ?? and that they have collected the final month payment upto 20th July 2005.
But because of the terms of the policy you cannot claim until after 30 days anyway of being made redundant so I in effect was NEVER COVERED !
Instead the company took my premiums and extended the start of the insurance period where in the final instance cancelled it !
What kind of behaviour is this ?

I will be taking this up with the insurance ombundsman !
I'm going to snow them under with paper work - My new hobby is to waste as much of their costly management time as possible, I advise others who are just as pissed off to do the same ! |
