Three of us are buying a 3 story (3 flat) house in LOndon. I will be aquiring the attic flat. Currently the bottom two floors are freehold and the attic flat is leasehold. However we can change the structure. What is the best way to set it up?
Shall I take the attic flat freehold or leasehold? I understand it could be hard to get a mortgage on a freehold flat unless I own a share in the whole house. Should we set up a company to own the whole house and I have a share of this company? |
