Hi All
Ive got £5000 to invest and am wondering which investment trusts to invest in. Yes ! I finally decided to go with investment trusts as against Unit trusts, lower charges... aparranelyt ?

Quite right ! I always go for investment trusts !
With £5k you can split that between 3 trusts, as a guide at the start of the year I invested in 3 funds, all are up on the year to varying degrees -(see an earlier post)
They were -
ABDN.NEW THAI ORD 25P ANW +8.3%
BR.EMPIRE SEC. ORD 10P BTEM +8.2%
JPMOR INDIAN ORD 25P JII +4.2%
Another one which I have had money in for quite a while is the BARING EMERGING European - Now this is very volatile though with an upward trend- But probably one you should avoid given the risk.
So you could if you want split the £3k between them. Though remeber this is for the long-term 3 years plus ! and do your own research !  |

| Other good trusts are the country specific ones such as canada, austrailia , russia , japan etc. |
