Yes you can do the transfer online, go to the balance transfer section on the egg site, and you will get an option to transfer to a bank account.

Though you may be charged a capped fee.

Yes, by phone or online... why not send them a message online if they will charge a fee or not ?

used to be able to do multiple transfers to different cards, now ALL would be hit by the 2.5% fee. Which on 5months implies an interest rate of 6% !! So no longer of much use as a 0% deal.

the anniversary offer is still good for people with rotating debt as likely the debt will cost you less than a third of the rate you would already be paying.

Yeh sarah, 2.5% for 6 months equates to 5% for 12 months and the loans are running at 9% upwards ! So worth it for people with real debt

Heres stuff from the egg website -

Get an introductory offer that goes on and on
Take out an Egg Card and you'll get 0% interest on balance transfers until 1 April 2007. For each balance transfer made you will pay a handling fee of 2.5%. You'll also get 0% on new purchases until 1 April 2007. From 2 April 2007 you'll pay your then current standard variable rate on purchases and balance transfers. Then, in the anniversary month your account was opened:

For applications made after 1 January 2006, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month every year until 2008 - guaranteed.

For applications made between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2005, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month every year until 2007 - guaranteed.

For applications made between 1 January 2004 and 31 December 2004, you'll get our 0% offer again for up to five months on balances transferred in the anniversary month every year until 2006. And that's guaranteed too.
