Hiya, Im pretty new to this forum thing so please bear with me if you will!!!
I want some advice on cancelling my payment protection on my personal loan, I have had my loan for a little over 3 years now and have been dusting off my policies and have now decided that this is no longer suitable to me. So, rang the company the loan is with and requested that they cancel my payment protection plan, only to be told that they can not cancel it as easy as that. What you need to do dear valued customer is ------ re-apply for a new loan to pay off the original one and then they will pro rata refund anything from the (PPP) that I may be entitled to.
don't know what anyone else may think but this does not seem ethical bearing in mind this is a major high street bank we're talking about!!!
I am really not happy to do this as this would obviously show on my credit rating, I really can not get my head around it, my opinion is that because my circumstances have changed, I am now on a lower income, (which they know about) they will not be able to give me the same interest rate it will be higher than b4 and therefore making more money out of me!!!!!
Does anyone know if they can really do this surely they can just cancel with immediate effect the same way as they do with their credit cards.
Any views or responses would be greatly appreciated thanx!! |

| You could argue with them to cancell the PPI on the basis that it should never have been sold to you in the first place. |
