I hold a small portfolio of shares - valued at about £5,000 and was thinking to take advantage of this years shares ISA allowance before its lost.
Is it possible for me to transfer the shares to a shares ISA ?
If so whats the procedure ? Or do I just sell them and buy them back into an shares ISA ?

YOu would need to sell them and buy then back within a shares ISA.
You need to hurry up as the tax year ends in a couple of days , best to open one online and deposit the money into a self select isa and then sell / buy the shares at your leisure. |

| Yes, as above the ISA rules are that you cannot transfer shares from outside an ISA into a stocks and shares ISA. |
